Dormant ten years 278 BTC set in motion

On April 21, Whale Alert, a cryptowhale tracking service, detected the activity of an address that had been dormant for over 10 years.

According to on-chain data, the bitcoin whale moved 278 BTC ($7.8 million at the time of writing) to three new wallets, splitting them roughly evenly.

The main part of the assets in the amount of 1128 BTC (~$31.5 million) was acquired by an unknown user in October 2012 and May 2013 at a price of $12 and $195 per coin, respectively.

On April 19, 6071 BTC began to move after nine years of hibernation. Telegram channel GFiSchannel suggested that the original owner of the Mt.Gox exchange and the creator of Ripple, Jed McCaleb, could be behind the transactions.

Recall that in February, 2.04 million DOGE, inactive for nine years, came into motion.

In March, three whales moved 244,148 ETH in total with an interval of several minutes.
