On Tuesday, December 20, Twitter CEO Elon Musk unveiled a new Twitter feature exclusively for investors, traders, financial experts and institutions.

With the new feature, Twitter users can track Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) rates by simply entering their names or tickers into the search bar. Users can view charts and data for major stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and cryptocurrencies in a single tweet.

The new feature makes it easier for users to access crypto market trading data through a partnership with the TradingView Giant in the Market Tracking platform. The platform is able to set up technical indicators, create charts and analyze financial assets. In addition, the charts have a “View on Robinhood” link in the bottom left corner. Robinhood is a discount online brokerage company that provides a commission-free investment and trading platform.

Previously, the media has repeatedly mentioned that Twitter is considering the development of its own cryptocurrency, which will be used for payments within the platform. The information came out on Dec. 4, about a week after Musk provided a sneak peek of “Twitter 2.0,” which could include cryptocurrency-based payments on Twitter.

At the moment, billionaire Elon Musk is actively looking for a new chief executive officer (CEO) for Twitter. It comes after Musk polled Twitter users about whether he should step down as the platform’s CEO. Almost ten million people voted for him to leave the post of head of the social network.
