Many companies have faced financial problems amid the dominance of the bearish trend in the cryptosphere.
Last week, the press service of Huobi reported that the exchange was forced to lay off up to 20% of its employees.
The NFT industry also found itself in a state of crisis due to a sharp decrease in the activity of users of platforms for transactions with tokenized collections. SuperRare marketplace CEO John Crane confirmed that his team has shrunk by about 30%.
He also recalled that most platforms for transactions with NFT tokens, as well as Web3 game studios, optimize costs. Development teams are forced to say goodbye to part of the staff.
According to John Crane, in 2021, during the rapid growth of the NFT market, SuperRare increased the staff along with other companies.
The SuperRare marketplace was able to become a hub for serving the community of collectors and creators of tokenized works of art, but in 2022 the situation in the industry has deteriorated sharply.
It should be noted that such giants of the blockchain industry as Coinbase, Gemini, Crypto.Com and Celsius also revised their costs and switched to less costly business models.
