Russian crypto blogger Yuri Boytsov was beaten and robbed of $284,000 while on vacation in Bali. He spoke about this on February 26 on the Instagram social network (owned by the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
According to Boytsov, four unknown people broke into the villa where he lived with his girlfriend Ekaterina. Three of them were Russian-speakers, one Indonesian in police uniform, he said. As the blogger said, the attackers forcibly withdrew money from his accounts and took away his passports.
The blogger posted a video from a surveillance camera on social networks. The Russians also wrote a statement to the police and left for the airport. After that, one of the criminals was removed from the flight, but after a while they were released. According to Boytsov, he was detained and kept for about a day at the airport.
“They (the police. – Ed.) released the criminals and accuse Yura of slander. And they said that they would still put him in jail, ”Ekaterina’s brother told cryptonewsherald.
According to him, $385,000 was stolen from a crypto blogger.
In his account, Boytsov said that he needed the help of the Russian consulate, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and “any higher authorities.”
Last November, a former member of Doma-2 and blogger Victoria Bonya reported that her apartment in Monaco had been robbed. She posted footage showing the perpetrators leaving behind empty shelves and clutter.
