The PleasrDAO project announced the sale of the sofa on which sat the Shiba Inu Kabosu, who became the hero of the meme and the face of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.

The auction starts on February 8 at 03:30 Kyiv time and will last for a day. February 9 at 02:30 Kyiv time Kabosu and her owner Atsuko Sato will join the live stream about the results of the auction. Users will be able to ask them questions live. The winner of the auction will receive an NFT, giving the right to receive a real sofa.

All proceeds from the sale will go to Save The Children. In addition, the organizers of the auction plan to release a new NFT collection in order to increase the amount of funds raised.

PleasrDAO announced itself in the fall of 2021 by buying Doge NFT for 1969.6 ETH (about $4 million at the time of the sale). The project then split it into approximately 17 billion $DOG tokens and sold a 20% stake through an auction. Revenue was 11,942 WETH (~$47.4 million at the exchange rate at that time).

Recall that at the end of 2022, 17-year-old Kabosu had serious health problems. Later it became known that the dog was diagnosed with leukemia.
