The new version of ChatGPT can draw, write poetry and find vulnerabilities in smart contracts

The most important news in the last 24 hours was the long-awaited update of the popular chatbot. OpenAI has introduced GPT-4, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to provide answers to various questions, as well as write poetry and create computer code. The new version of the chatbot can work not only with text queries, but also with images.

The chatbot will be able to process up to 25,000 words, which is eight times more than ChatGPT. OpenAI experts say that artificial intelligence has passed the exam for American professional lawyers. According to his results, GPT-4 was in the top 10% of students. The previous version of the chatbot was able to hit the bottom 10% of students.

Former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Conor Grogan decided test the capabilities of artificial intelligence. He uploaded an active Ethereum contract to GPT-4. The chatbot identified a number of security vulnerabilities and indicated areas where this contract can be used. The smart contract was hacked in 2018 using exploits pointed to by artificial intelligence.

To be fair, it should be mentioned that the first version of ChatGPT is also able to detect errors in the code.

Grogan believes that artificial intelligence technologies will help make smart contracts more secure and simple, thereby helping the mass adoption of smart contracts in everyday life.
